Twineham House

Remodelling and extending a small 3 bedroom Victorian cottage into a contemporary 6 bedroom family home.

In this scheme we enjoyed the juxtaposition of the simple black contemporary form set at 90 degrees to the traditional farm cottage, linked by a glazed "valve". 

The new building has a quiet and elegant minimalist presence which works well alongside the red-brick and white rendered walls of the existing dwelling. The link incorporates a large receiving hall with new stairs. The main extension houses a kitchen/ family room at ground floor a with new master bedroom suite above.
