Cotton Lane Ex-Police Station, Derby

Our first TopHuis project to get planning permission, the proposal is to create 102 new homes by re-using the existing 4 storey former police station building structure with the addition of new floorspace via extensions and new buildings. The layout of the new buildings have been primarily governed by orientation to the sun, ensuring that the amenity deck spaces receive the best light.

This approach will help to ensure that the scheme will be very low carbon, with electricity being generated on site and the ability for residents to grow their own food and benefit from generous private and communal landscaped amenity space.
