Planning permission was granted for this Sainsburys Supermarket in Sheerness in the face of local opposition on the grounds of it being well designed and in keeping with the urban / rural fringe location. It's highly sustainable green roof allowing it to merge with the landscape when viewed from the visually sensitive area of outstanding natural beauty.

The clean simple lines and elegant brise soliel were popular with the planners and tenants alike.
